Welcome to RetroRacer!
If you are looking to race karts from the ‘Golden Era’ of karting, then Retro Racer is for you! Classes range from the 1960’s to the year 2000, with eight rounds for the 2022 season. These include ‘SC’, ‘E’ and ‘O’ Plate meetings respectively. Retro Racers’ policy is that karts are raced as close to the specification of their day as possible, both technically & cosmetically. The RR events are run in a friendly atmosphere where free advice and assistance is available to new & potential racers. The Retro Racer paddock is always very welcoming, particularly for family groups. Many competitors socialise sharing gazebos, BBQs, music and even cake! Retro Racer weekends are a great way for attendees to experience social karting!

The fifth official season gets underway with a return to the Group 4 BMW M4. Sponsors this time round are Hizzy999, 4GR8Media and I-Vision Lighting Solutions. All of the liveries are provided and include the RetroRacer graphics. Entrants share the same ‘tuned’ setup with 12 races making up the championship. Quadruple Champion Tim Gunter is looking forward to another line-up…

Own an historic kart?
You can run your pride and joy on one of our Saturday practice days (Subject to scrutineering). You do not need to be an RR member, nor a member of any club and neither do you need a demo licence. Practice Saturday – watch the racing Sunday!
Later in the year there may well be the opportunity for a few lunchtime runs at Sunday Races – volunteer marshalls permitting – watch this space for info!
